A Conversation Between Love and Fear
in Regard to Jade’s Emergence in the Wide World as a Sexual Healer
FEAR: So, who does she think she is, anyway? What could she possibly have to say about anything that hasn’t already been said in a hundred different ways? She thinks she can enlighten the world with her writing and speaking and healing? Ha! Tell her to just go browse a bookstore and give it up. What can she possibly add that’s helpful?
LOVE: I have proof that she impacts people’s lives. I have been held in her heart when she has looked into the eyes of a killer. I have stood with her at a deathbed as she silently assisted with the release of that soul from the tormented physical body. I have been with her through all her trials and seen her always turn her face back to me, in spite of her pain of separation, her suffering, the depth of her dives into the darkness. She and I have worked together to bring my healing power to those we can touch.
F: Oh, yeah, touch (leeringly). She loves stirring up all that dirty stuff, doesn’t she? All about how we touch each other in nasty places. Do you really think people are going to be fooled by her con game? She just wants to make money in an easy way - on her back instead of working like a slave in an office, like she should be doing, so she would have health insurance and benefits and a future.
L: It’s not just about touch but the healing power of touch. And the healing power of the divine feminine force, which I, Love, am grounded in. It is women who birth our sons and daughters, and love them unconditionally, as well as they can, in this world of density and confusion. That’s why love and sex and creativity are intricately entwined. Jade is learning how to help people become aware of the presence of divine love, not only in their relationships, but also in their entire existence.
F: Yeah, and where does that leave me? You know and I know that when love is present, fear dissipates. So are you trying to tell me I don’t deserve to be here, too?
L: You certainly have your place in the grand design of things, Fear. You work at keeping things safe and comfortable. But safe and comfortable does not inspire evolution. You serve as a reminder to be cautious, but when you get too heavy, you stop her growth. Would you be willing to work with me in coming into more balance?
F: Oh, what a bleeding heart liberal you are. You think love can transform evil? You think love is going to help Jade when she’s arrested for prostitution? You think her friends will be around? No. They’ll all be cowering in the corner with me, because they know better than to align themselves with such Pollyanna bullshit. It’s a real world out there, and fear overpowers love all the time. Why do you think I’m so popular? People like to be afraid - scared silly, in fact. It helps them feel alive and important. They get attention with their fears. We get to build war machines and lots of other cool stuff.
L: OK, OK. But would you consider softening the energy of your approach? What if you were able to just help keep Jade safe as she emerges? Help her be as cautious as possible, and just not do anything stupid...what about that?
F: What’s stupid is her desire to share who she is. She’s a retired whore. She was mentally ill in her 20’s. She’s no expert in relationships. Look at her two marriages. What makes her think anyone will want to listen to what she has to say?
L: It’s because of what she has come through that gives her power. She has continued, through all the ups and downs of her chaotic life, to seek my presence. It’s what she came here to do. And her own understanding of my power is what makes her story important. She is coming into a place of actually being able to love herself as much as she loves everybody else. That’s true healing, and she has worked hard for it.
F: So just what are you proposing, Love?
L: How about if I support her in trusting her intuition and the guidance that keeps her attuned to her divine plan for this lifetime, and you help remind her that it’s always good to consider all options. You help her keep informed, and I’ll gently move her forward into her emergence. What do you think?
F: I think she’ll get informed when she feels the cold steel of the handcuffs on her wrists. But, all right. I’m willing to back off a bit and just see what happens. When do we start this new contract?
L: It’s already started, Fear. Hold on for the ride. You’re gonna love it!
